1. For question 1. 50% of people named comedy their favourite genre

                               20% of people named drama

                               10% of people named fantasy

3. For question 3 the ten people that answered my questionnaire named a variety of films such as: 'The Hangover', 'Wedding Crashers', 'Jurrasic Park', 'American Beauty', 'Good Will Hunting', 'Twilight', 'Factory Girl' e.t.c. The films named in question 3 coincided with the genres which were popular and named by the interviewees in question 1.

4.For question 4 70% of the people which answered my questionnaire said they did not particularly have a favourite film director, but the people that said yes answered:

    - Steven Spielberg

    - Martin Scorsese

    - Ben Affleck

                                                                                                     

5. For question 5 50% of the people who answered my questionnaire said they were unfamiliar with the Film Noir genre but the other 50% was familiar eith the genre and all said that they 30% of people said they liked Film Noir because of its detective/crime story lines and people espescially liked post modern noir films such as 'Pulp Fiction' due to its action packed storyline and concept.

6. For question 6 Only 20% of people said that they watched short films. 80% of people answered 'No' to this question. The people that answered 'Yes' tended to be younger and more likely to be students under the age of 25. This helped me to understand the target audience in which my short film should be directed to.

7. For question 7 30% of people said 'at home'

                                   40% of people said 'via the internet'

                                   20% of people said 'mainstream cinema'

                                   10% of people said 'Independent cinema'

                   

Conclusions made from questionnaires:

• The target audience for my short film would be towards young adults and adults, as most people who were familiar and liked the Film Noir genre ranged between 15-35.
• The internet was voted the most popular way of viewing films, therefore to promote my film uploading it to sites such as Youtube would be beneficial and the best way for the audience to view it.
• People particularly liked Post-Modern Noir films, therefore i will produce my film in a modern day style and not classic in order to appeal to my target audience.
• Target audience will be mixed gender, as both liked the Film Noir genre according to the questionnaire.
